On politics and religion

Just like our last great President, George Bush Jr.; Obama wishes to put the faith (blame) on God. After all, God has a plan:
All of the human life stolen, people slaughtered and entire cities destroyed by way of meaningless warfare, both sides claiming they are killing in ‘God’s name;’ it’s all part of His plan.
I’ll take plate after plate of spirituality and wisdom but sprinkle on it a dash of religion and it ruins the whole meal.
Here’s a good credibility test: if someone thinks they ‘know’ the meaning of life they are unfortunately mistaken most likely because they believe mythology to be literal and true. If a person has this state of mind the rest of what they say must be taken with great amounts of skepticism.
“I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance” - Socrates.
The un-questioning minded person is so convinced that their religion is the only ’truth’ in the universe simply because they were told so. These un-questioning people can become so indoctrinated as to have the potential to justify the most horrific inhumane acts believing them to be divine in nature!
It is when our highest ranking elected official uses religion as a means to an empirical end, I humbly ask, ”What happened to the great concept of seperating church and state? What happened to the concepts of enlightenment and inalienable rights our country was founded on?”
We are no better than those who kill in the name of Allah. No, this nation is worse off than they because we were very recently aiming to become a true beacon of hope and liberty for mankind. The aim was true, but those responsible for firing this weapon against tyranny instead handed it over willingly for a couple dollars and a false sense of security.
Stop saying there is a mystical force controlling human affairs will you please; own up to your responsibilities and grow a pair.
